As the children at the center are from different geographic, religious, and cultural backgrounds, there has been a concerted effort to devise activities that would foster a sense of unity and camaraderie in them.

Thus the WERC children are encouraged to celebrate a number of popular festivals, e.g. Holi, Raksha Bandhan, Christmas, Ganesh festival, Guru Pournima, Makar Sankranti, Rajmata Jijau Birth anniversary and Swami Vivekanand Birth Anniversary.

Apart from this, hostel celebrates birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandi, Mahatma Basweshwar, Bhagwan Mahaveer, Savitribai Phule, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, and Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The student participates in all these celebration.

We also take the extracurricular programs like, Drawing Competition, Handwriting Competition and Debate Competition, Idol art exhibition etc.
