As the rehabilitation program running in WERC has received national and state-level attention, many dignitaries have visited the center from time to time. Thus the children have also got an amazing opportunity to meet national leaders and public figures when they visited the center. Like the trips, this is a life changing and emboldening chance for rural children who hadn’t ever ventured out of their villages. The children have had the opportunity to interact with dignitaries who have visited the WERC campus, like the Hon’ble Former President of India Mr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam (Missile Man of India) and Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri. Sharad Pawar, and several ministers and bureaucrats.
